Willem brings a wealth of experience from his work with organizations like Tearfund and World Vision. In Tearfund, he successfully transitioned the organization’s Iraq operations from an international team to a more locally driven structure. This reorganization involved inclusive decision-making and implementation of a multi-year strategy, exemplifying his consultative leadership skills. At World Vision, Willem’s role included managing a major shift from growth to adaptation, as the team size almost doubled. Despite the challenges of COVID-19 and online communication, he led a seamless transition, demonstrating his adeptness as an interim manager.
